Online Relationship Therapy
in Illinois & Colorado

You don’t need to be in a relationship to seek or benefit from relationship therapy. At Bloomed Therapy, we’re relational therapists. That means we care deeply about the ways you connect with yourself, others, and the world around you. Rather than focusing only on behavior, we explore the roots of your relationship patterns, including attachment styles, childhood experiences, trauma, and the cultural narratives that shape how you love and connect.

You might be navigating romantic relationships, friendships, family dynamics, or healing from past relationship wounds. Whether you’re exploring attachment patterns, working through relationship anxiety, or simply wanting to feel more secure and connected, you belong here.

Common Relationship Struggles

You don’t have to see your whole story here to seek support, but you may be experiencing relationship struggles if you find yourself:

  • Fearing rejection, abandonment, or losing people

  • Struggling to communicate needs or set boundaries

  • People-pleasing, over-functioning, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions

  • Caught in relationship anxiety or constant overthinking

  • Avoiding conflict or shutting down emotionally

  • Feeling unsafe, unseen, “too much,” or “not enough” in relationships

  • Attracting emotionally unavailable or inconsistent partners

  • Caretaking others while neglecting yourself

  • Difficulty trusting, attaching, or staying connected

  • Healing from a breakup, friendship rupture, or betrayal

Do I Need Relationship Therapy?

In relationship therapy, we work together to:

  • Understand the attachment patterns and past experiences shaping how you connect

  • Develop the communication skills and boundaries that make relationships feel safer

  • Move through conflict without shutting down or feeling overwhelmed

  • Break the patterns of people-pleasing, codependency, or emotional caretaking

  • Feel more secure, confident, and at ease in your relationships with others and yourself

How We Approach Relationships

At Bloomed Therapy, we use evidence-based therapy approaches that are specifically designed to navigate relationship dynamics for individuals and couples, tailoring our methods to your distinct needs.

Attachment & Relational Healing

We explore how early relationships shaped your sense of safety, trust, and self-worth to unpack anxious, avoidant, or disorganized attachment patterns, helping you move toward more secure connections

Values-Based Relationships & Boundaries

Relationships don’t thrive through perfection. They thrive through clarity. We work with you to identify what you value in relationships, practice communicating your needs, and set boundaries that protect your emotional safety.

Self-Compassion & Identity in Relationships

You don’t need to fully love yourself to be in a healthy relationship. Learning to speak to yourself with compassion makes connections feel safer, and relationships feel less like a threat to your sense of worth.

All relationship therapy at Bloomed Therapy is virtual, so you can access specialized care from wherever feels most comfortable. We currently serve adults in Illinois and Colorado.
